Fuzzy’s London Broil

The following recipe is a demonstration on how to prepare my London Broil on a Big Green Egg.

Your comments, questions, and concerns are welcome…and I’d appreciate it if you would share your experience or tweaks to this recipe.

Ingredients:

1 London Broil (Shoulder or Top Roast
3 tsp Soy Sauce
1 tsp Vegetable Oil
1 tsp Tomato Paste
1 tsp Salt
1/2 tsp Black Pepper
1/4 tsp Oregano
1/8 tsp Minced Garlic
Mesquite Wood Chips

Pairs With: Your broil should be juicy enough… no sauces needed.

Suggested Side(s):

Green Beans with Almonds

Corn on the Cobb

Method Of Cooking:

Big Green Egg (other smoker or grill) directly on the grill grate over the flame. Medium amount of Natural Lump Charcoal with Mesquite Wood Chips at 330-400 degrees for 2 1/2 minutes per side. Once the outside is seared, move the Broil away from the hot spot and cook until it reaches 130 degrees internal temperature. Once it reaches 130, let sit for 5-10 minutes before slicing (cook times will vary based on Egg temperature and Broil size).

Total Cook/Prep Time: 6 Hours…5 minutes of prep, 5-24 hours for marinating, and 25 minutes for cooking (or 130 internal temperature) …you may want to watch the entire X-Men movie franchise.

Feeds: 2 lumberjacks, 4 growing boys, or 6 people.

Leftovers? Refrigerate overnight and serve cold over a salad. Not your style? Pan fry with provolone and serve on Texas Toast for a ridiculous open-faced London Broil Cheesesteak Sandwich.
